Equipment

The Mobile Robotics Lab equipment is based on a Robuter mobile platform. During the past years several small platforms and sensor devices were designed and created, which may be seen at our Museum.
The LRM also makes use of equipment from other Laboratories of Instituto de Sistemas e Robótica when participating in joint projects.

Main equipment

The platform is equipped with 24 Polaroid Ultra-Sound sensors .
It has two fixed power and steering wheels and two passive off-centred wheels; two encoders are associated with the two motorised wheels.

In the scope of project RESOLV there is a second mobile platform at the Laboratory, equipped with a second Laser Range Finder, video camera, sonars and bumpers.

This list of equipment is incomplete. Description and pictures of other devices used in the LRM will be included in the list as soon as possible.
