Every night during the EXPO term, at a quarter to midnight, all shows ended and visitors gathered around the Olivais Dock to watch the Acqua Matrix show. The Acqua Matrix was intendend as a transition between the regular EXPO program and the "after hours" in pubs or under the moonlight, with jam sessions, dance music and chats in the esplanades by the river. Fortunately, the cultural program was so intense, that art performances continued afterwards. Notwithstanding, most visitors left after the Acqua Matrix: they had lived a long, exciting and fatiguing day. And so it was: sound, image, flames and fireworks combined were so impressive that visitors waited long hours just to watch if from the best spot. |
