I'm very found of night photos because they focus the viewer's attention on the subject, while the scenery fades out. Moreover, night pictures usually show different, unusual, aspects and perspectives of the world around us.

Some photos were taken after the EXPO term (September, 30th, 1998). Otherwise, the crowds would take all the field of view. Thus, the EXPO site may look quite melancholic, whereas it was an exciting place during the EXPO.

Adding the EXPO site map may seem unnecessary at this time, but I believe it will be convenient as our EXPO memories become less vivid. I considered the option of hiding and showing it with a button, but it is difficult to make it work with 3.0 browsers.

Night photos are well suited for the Internet: the area around the main feature is often homogenously dark, and JPEG algorithms compress it to a very small size.

The album is quite long: 84 pages and a total load of 2.4Mb. Browse it slowly, chapter by chapter. I considered making it smaller, selecting only the best photos. I kept the extensive version because I regard it as a memorial rather than as a photo exhibition.
